Ann had to overcome an early season leg injury that kept her from running for months. Ann has prepped for Ironman Arizona this year with BASE and we can’t wait to cheer her on to her third Ironman finish! Third time is the charm lady!

What is your athletic background: Played soccer growing up. Started running in the early 2000’s to stay fit for soccer. As I got into running more it became fun and I dropped soccer. Eventually I moved into triathlon and the rest is history! ;)
Why did you choose BASE Tri Fitness as your training program provider: I have heard good feedback about Coach LU.
What has been the most challenging part of your training so far: This year it has been dealing with a tibial stress fracture that kept me from running for 16 weeks from Feb through July.
What has been the most enjoyable part of your training: The people I get to meet and spend time training with for races.
What have you accomplished so far that you never dreamt you’d accomplish: Completing 2 Ironman races and working towards my 3rd.
What is your favorite music to train to: Alot depends on pace but I really listen to everything from Florence and the Machine to Kanye West.
Favorite workout: Oddly the 90/90/90
Least favorite workout: Any swim that involves small increments (i.e. 100×10, 50×20, 25×25…)
If you could tell other athletes one thing you have learned so far in your training what would it be? If you believe in yourself and trust your plan (and you stick to it), you will be able to accomplish more than you ever imagined possible! :)
Any embarrassing moments or stories? Actually none that I can think of at this moment.
What is your equipment line up: Full Blue Seventy Wetsuit and booties for the swim, COTT tri top and Desoto 400 mile bike shorts for the bike, Specialized Shiv Tri Bike, Run will change into running skirt and either Nike Eclipse or Ascics Kayano for the run. There might also be a tutu involved at some point…
