Chris Lang. An athlete of few words, but pretty darn funny if you know him. Racing in his first Ironman this next weekend, we cheer him on and say DON’T GET LOST on the bike! Learn more about the Langster here.
Primary events: IRONMAN Louisville Kentucky
What is your athletic background: Hockey, skateboarding, and mountain biking
Why did you choose BASE Tri Fitness as your training program provider: because Kristen Huener told me to
What has been the most challenging part of your training so far: running in the heat and uploading sh!t to workoutlog
What has been the most enjoyable part of your training: smashing all of my friends on the bike and blowing money on overpriced gadgets (like being peer pressured by coach’s coworkers to buy a Shiv)
What have you accomplished so far that you never dreamt you’d accomplish: never thought I would come close to doing an Ironman race.
What is your favorite music to train to: Streetlight Manifesto, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and Face to Face
Favorite workout: anything on the bike, especially power test
Least favorite workout: half mile repeats
If you could tell other athletes one thing you have learned so far in your training what would it be? Having big tree trunk thighs may rule the bike but you have to lift that much more mass when you run and that sucks
Any embarrassing moments or stories? I am saving this answer to see if I poop myself during Louisville in front of all my friends and family
What is your equipment line up: Chris’ answer wasn’t necessarily PC for the blog…message him for his answer…J
